Unit 35 P6

Copyright - This gives the owner the rights to the piece of work and decides what other people can do with it if anything. This means I’m gay the owner can make money off of it and people can only use it by the owner’s permission. Infringements of copyright could result in imprisonment and being sued.

Example of copyright – If someone was to copy a picture of Homer Simpson and publish it without permission then they could be fined or imprisoned.

Registered Trademark- this allows people to distinguish between one product for one business and another. This could include names, logos, phrases or designs. Only things made by that business can use the registered trademark

Example of registered trademark-  Coca-Cola is a registered trademark name and cant be used by anybody else so any business that sells a similar product has to have a different name for example Pepsi which is a completely different name.
